The Touring Kayaks provided are Perception Expression 15, an excellent boat for both beginners and experienced kayakers. Quality lifejackets, splash decks and paddles are also included.
Tents, mattress, camping gear and all meals on the kayak trip are included, bring your own sleeping bag. Food will be primarily sourced from local villages and water purified from the lake.
One vehicle will be provided by Unfenced Expeditions, others will be hired locally as and when needed and depending on the final number of participants.
A detailed equipment list on what to bring will be provided to those who confirm their participation.
Participants will only need a basic level of kayaking experience – there will be two days at the start for training and equipment checks. A reasonable level of fitness will be required (6 to 8 hours paddling per day) and a very good sense of humor.
